EXCITING OVERSEAS PLACEMENT AT ADAMSTOWN CC

Building on the success of last year’s programme, nine youth players have travelled to India as part of the club’s Youth Overseas Placement Programme. This initiative is being run in association with the Sowdambikaa Mount Litera ZEE School, Tiruchirappalli in India.

The participants include 8 players from Adamstown CC and 1 player from North County CC:

+ Shreyas Rajesh

+ Sidharth Biju

+ Shravon Biju (who won the CL 2024 Find a Fast Bowler competition)

+ Yash Verma

+ Harry Lako

+ Mithil Balamurugan

+ Aadarsh Ganapathy

+ Akshith Varadaraj

+ Sai Vivek (North County)

This ambitious programme aims to accelerate the development of youth players within the club and is the culmination of significant preparatory work over a long period of time.

This year’s programme includes two Transition Year students, three Second Year students, three First Year students, and one Sixth Year student - all undergoing extensive cricket training and playing experience with Sowdambikaa Mount Litera ZEE School and Alchemy Sports Centre under the experienced  coach, Mr Veeraraghavan Ramachandran.

The players have the opportunity to spend over five weeks immersed in a famous cricket culture, honing their skills and gaining invaluable experience.

The club is incredibly grateful to all those who have supported this placement, including the coaches, dedicated families, the host school and everyone who has ensured that the young visiting students fully experience the local way of life.

The extensive training and match practice they receive should enrich all cricketers participating and make them stronger players for the future.
