As most people within the cricket community will be aware, a number of clubs are hosting friendly fixtures this weekend which is great.
Based on sample observations to-date, there are a number of improvements required from a Covid-19 safety standpoint.
In that context, all clubs are reminded that adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocols is mandatory for all cricket and includes:
- No use of dressing rooms
- Sanitising solution readily available
- Covid Signage prominently displayed
- Social distancing including spectators
- Contact tracing/records for all attendees
Failure to implement such fundamental aspects of the safety protocol in CL competitions will be viewed as material breaches and result in cancellation of the fixture and awarding of the match result to the ‘away’ team.
Additional disciplinary actions may be taken depending on the nature of the breach(es) involved.
