14 different clubs tasted success across the Youth Competitions leagues, with Adamstown the stand out, winning 7 leagues on the Open side of the competition. Other multiple-league winners in the boys side included The Hills who were victorious in three age groups (U19/U13/U11), whilst both Railway Union (U17/U19) and Merrion (U17/U13) were champions in two leagues apiece. The other sides to taste success including Tyrrelstown, Greystones, Knockharley, Cork County and Malahide.
On the girls side, Clontarf led the way, winning three leagues at either end of the age bracket, claiming the U19 & U17 titles to go alongside their U11 league win , whilst Pembroke were also victorious in two girls leagues, claiming both the A & B leagues in the U13 age group. The three remaining leagues were won by the North County/Rush combined side & Merrion at U15 level, taking the North and South sections respectively, whilst at U11s, Malahide were champions in the North group.
In aggregate, over 2,000 youth players were registered across the province with significant growth in participation especially evident at newer clubs, some of whom were embracing youth cricket for the first time.

And a reminder to anyone interested to youth coaching that there is a CL Coaching Kids Course scheduled for Sunday 6th October at Castleknock College. This is a fully certified course and an ideal entry point for youth coaching:
