It was confirmed that Michael Cotter (CL Operations Manager) will continue to fulfil the secretarial role to the incoming Committee as part of the administrative support provided by the CL Office.
The meeting was updated that following the conclusion of the season, the outgoing Women’s Committee elected to retain the 9-team Sports Hub Premier League into 2026, allowing the current format to remain until such a time that another team reaches the promotion places in Division 2.
It was explained that the retention of the 9-team Premier League will allow the current teams entered in the leagues to form 8 team leagues, which is the preferred number of side based on the current, home and away league games format.
The outgoing Committee was also pleased to advise that there have already been several enquiries to enter new and/or extra teams into the competitions structure for the 2026 season.
Thanks were recorded to the outgoing Committee and also to Arun Kumar and Yogesh Kashyap of Sports Hub for their sponsorship of all women's cricket competitions (both league & cup).
There was also a special note of thanks to Judy Cohen of Railway Union who is retiring from the Committee this year after many years of service as part of the overall governance and oversight of women’s cricket.
The detailed minutes of this meeting will be circulated to all relevant clubs in due course.
Thanks to all who attended this evening, it was very much appreciated.
