CL PRESIDENT TO HOST DUBLIN GUARDIANS FOR OAK HILL CHALLENGE (FRIDAY 21.8.2026)

As part of their European T20 Premier League (ETPL) tournament preparations, the Dublin Guardians will play a T20 match against a Cricket Leinster President’s XI on Friday 21st August at our home ground in Oak Hill, County Wicklow.

The Dublin Guardians team is expected to include all of their Irish-based players (including Harry Tector, Ben Calitz, George Dockrell, Matthew Hollard, Craig Young and Josh Little) and a couple of their high-profile International stars including Captain, Ravichandran Ashwin, New Zealander Daryl Mitchell and Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar. The squad also includes Chris Greaves from Scotland and Noah Croes from The Netherlands.

The Cricket Leinster President’s XI (selected by Leinster Lightning Head Coach, Andre Botha) includes a mix of high quality Leinster Lightning and Leinster Bolts players alongside some T20 specialists from within club cricket in Leinster. Some of the selected squad have also come through the Cricket Leinster Under 23 District pathway competition.

The action is scheduled to get underway at Oak Hill at 2.00pm. Limited parking will be available with attendees requested to car-pool where possible. Priority will be given to advanced bookings made via the link below:

There will be an external coffee van at the ground offering specialty coffee, tea, soft drinks, fresh bakes, pastries and toasted sandwiches.
