After many years of brilliant service, Henry Tighe has decided to step down as Chair of the CL Accreditation Committee. Henry has led our Accreditation process with distinction since its inception and has worked tirelessly to deliver a top-class system for the benefit of all who play cricket in Leinster. We are all hugely appreciative of all that Henry has done on our behalf over so many years.
Accordingly, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Hirst (North Kildare CC) in succession to Henry as Chair of the Accreditation Committee with immediate effect. Andy has a strong club cricket background in both Ireland and the UK and most recently has been part of the leadership team at North Kildare CC. Andy also spoke at our Club Day in 2019 about the brilliant work being done to rebuild North Kildare Cricket Club after some challenging years. He has also served on the Open Competitions Committee for the past 3 years and so is very familiar with our club game and the challenges faced by clubs.
Andy is fortunate to be leading a strong and experienced Accreditation Committee which includes Mary Sharp, Peter Twamley, Cillian McCarthy and Declan Moore. In addition, Simon Dyke (CL Cricket & Operations Manager) will attend Accreditation Committee meetings and support all aspects of the Committee's work in 2021.
