ANDRE BOTHA CONFIRMED AS LEINSTER COACH ON 2-YEAR DEAL

Cricket Leinster is pleased to confirm the appointment of Andre Botha as Leinster Lightning Head Coach & Pathway Manager on a 2-year contract which will include the 2024 & 2025 playing seasons.

Andre took up the post on an interim basis during last season and has already brought a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

Based on additional funding from Cricket Ireland and continued sponsorship support from Sherwin O'Riordan Solicitors (https://sor-solicitors.ie/), we are now in a position to extend Andre's Head Coach contract and expand his role/capacity to develop the next cohort of Leinster Lightning & Bolts players.

This work will be undertaken alongside his existing club commitments at Balbriggan CC and we thank the club for continuing to support cricket in Leinster in this way.

Andre will also oversee the CL Under 23 District competition as a key pathway competition for next level U23 players with potential to play at the higher level. This competition is being expanded to include T20 fixtures this year.

The Interprovincial fixtures will be published shortly for both IP50 and IP20 competitions.
