We are delighted to announce that there are now 4,380 players now registered across the province which is up over 40% on 2020. Almost all clubs are experiencing growth as players return to the game and new players take up the sport for the first time.
A major highlight is the growth on the Youth side with 1,906 youth players now registered across 39 clubs including 662 under 9s which is brilliant. From a Cricket Leinster perspective, we are especially pleased to see this growth on the youth side as more clubs establish underage sections for the first time. This is key to long-term sustainability.

An examination of the youth data reveals some interesting emerging growth stories (outside the bigger clubs):
| Club | 2021 Youth Numbers | 2020 Youth Numbers |
| Adamstown | 91 | 25 |
| Bagenalstown | 24 | 3 |
| Civil Service | 18 | 1 |
| Clondalkin | 32 | 3 |
| Finglas | 38 | 23 |
| Kilkenny | 28 | 1 |
| Greystones | 66 | 24 |
| Knockharley | 36 | 5 |
| Mullingar | 34 | 8 |
All those involved in our sport at club level should be very encouraged by these numbers which reflect the increasing reach of youth cricket beyond its traditional base and on a province wide basis rather than purely in the Greater Dublin area.

At an overall level, the top 10 clubs (in terms of registered player numbers) are as follows:
| # | Club | Total Player Numbers |
| 1 | Pembroke | 297 |
| 2 | Merrion | 268 |
| 3 | Leinster | 256 |
| 4 | Adamstown | 202 |
