Overall
As we approach the end of April, there are already over 4,000 players registered across the province – all pointing to a bumper season of club cricket across all formats and competitions.

Youth Focus
In particular, it is brilliant to see the early pace on youth registrations with 1,512 youths already signed up across 39 clubs. As you might expect, the top three so far are Merrion (149), Pembroke (128) and Leinster (116). That said, there are some stand-out growth stories on the youth side including Adamstown (86) and Terenure (72).
It is also brilliant to see very buoyant youth registrations outside the Greater Dublin area including Knockharley (33), Kilkenny (32), Mullingar (31), Athlone (22) and Carlow (20) – on this basis, we will be organising Midlands Youth competitions and blitz events this summer (more on this very shortly).
Women’s Cricket
There are already almost 700 female cricketers registered – Merrion again leads the way with 76 players whilst Pembroke (67), Leinster (57), Clontarf (45) and Malahide (41) make up the top five so far.
Other clubs worthy of mention include Terenure (38), Adamstown (28), Balbriggan (28) as they are relative newcomers/returners to the female cricket programme.
