Both captains decided to play the game at 30 overs due to intermittent showers. Malahide won the toss and put Pembroke to bat first. Malahide made crucial breakthroughs in first 5 overs as they reduced Pembroke to 35/2. George Kierton (54) and Harsh Dubey (42) stitched a 96 run partnership to pull Pembroke out of the mess and late finish by Paranjay Dubey who hit a quick fire 67. Pembroke scored 235 in 30 overs. In response, Malahide 6 had a great start as both openers Kushi Dhananjaya (84) and Sanjay Pahuja (35) gave them a quick start. With asking rate over 8 runs per over, Pembroke slowed down the game by bringing on spin from both ends and eventually emerged victorious by tight spells from Bhushan Baviskar (32-0 in 6 overs), Paranjay Dubey (33 for 2 in 6 overs) and Prashanth Nair (5-41).
