About Castleknock Cricket Club

Castleknock Cricket Club is one of the fastest-growing cricket clubs in Dublin, boasting a strong community presence. Established in 2011, the club now fields 5 adult teams, including a development squad, and 3 youth teams (2 U11 and 1 U13). With a focus on inclusivity and the promotion of cricket to the highest ethical standards, the club encourages local talent, including enthusiastic young girls eager to participate. Strong social media engagement, modern facilities, and professional networking make Castleknock a hub for cricket enthusiasts in West Dublin.

Club History

Castleknock Cricket Club began with a humble start, participating in cup matches in 2011 before joining league cricket in 2012. Achievements include:

  • Division 14 Champions (2013)
  • Division 6 Champions (2017)
  • Junior Cup Winners (2019)
  • Division 11 Champions (2022)
  • Division 7 and Div 16 Champions and YMCA Salver T20 Cup Winners (2023)
  • Division 6 Champions (2024)
Inaugurated by Kevin O’Brien and supported by Fingal County Council and Cricket Leinster, the club has grown into a vibrant cricketing institution, with young talent and close community ties fueling its success.
