Jack Tector from the YMCA cricket club is another club captain in the Lightning ranks. Just 22 years of age, Tector is the eldest of three brothers hoping for a career in cricket and has built a huge background of leadership through club, a loan stint with the Munster Reds in T20 and with the Ireland Wolves.

An unflappable, composed and elegant opening batsman, Tector has benefitted from spending time both in the middle and in the company of Ireland’s greatest ever player Ed Joyce.

After a tough 2018 with injuries, no one will be more determined to hit the ground running in 2019 than Jack Tector.
