Strong early batting , built around a century by Dom Joyce and 61 from John Anderson, saw Merrion post a strong total of 295/7. Most of the Pembroke batsmen got starts but wickets fell regularly and despite a late 50 by Brendan McCarthy Pembroke fell well short in the end.
