It’s great to see a punishment being enforced this way. However what about the other team that may lose a game due to an unregistered players influence. The above match judging by the scorecard was very 1 sided, but this player took 2 wickets and opened the batting in a 10 wickets win. Ashbourne may have missed out on some bonus points themselves here.

This player missed his registration, as in Adamstown CC the admins look after every players registration. Although the admins take utmost care to complete registration by time, 1 or 2 fallouts is natural given the numbers we have. This particular match had 3 debutants for Adamstown, including a 14 year old and the unregistered player Sarath in this case. It is easy to suggest as if there is foul play here, but in fact it is just the opposite. Lower teams in Adamstown are not set to go for maximum points but encourage more participation. Just that this team proved to be too strong on the day!

Simple as this if people know penalty going to be enforced they will make sure get act together. Player unregistered you don’t play them. Also the registration process is straight forward. I know people have had problems with photos etc. However in our club the responsibility with the player and if they not registered in will not play them and if I have to give walk over cause team short so be it

Actually I would go further. You play 1 unregistered player 5 point penalty. However u play more than 1 you lose game. Simple

Will there be a trophy awarded to the club who racks up the most penalty points?
