The Slog Sweep, The Weekly Cricket Show - Five
This week, The Slog Sweep's feature interview is with former England Test Cricketer, current Managing Director of Cricket at Middlesex County Cricket Club and England National Selector, Angus Fraser. Angus has a fascinating chat about everything from Darren Gough's vanity to the Irishman he wanted playing for England in the 1st Test against Sri Lanka at Lord's this week.
Our fifth visit to 'Club Corner' takes a bit of an international twist this week, as Phil Thompson from Cregagh Cricket Club in Belfast explains their globe-trotting exploits. We also hear of success for Ireland in the UK, as Ryan Hopkins fills us in on how Irish Universities fared on their tour to Cambridge this week. Our Northern correspondent, David Holmes, joined us live in studio to talk about the Irish Senior Cup, as we also heard from our two other correspondents, Ger Siggins and Barry Chambers, for their usual 'Around The Grounds' and weekend predictions. And once again, we have plenty of Performances of the Week, with Louise McCarthy speaking about her special evening with the ball, the O'Neill's Team of the Week, #AlmostCricketLegend reports and much, much more.
Hosted by Mark Robinson and Andrew Leonard with special thanks to Johnston, Mooney & O'Brien
