The Slog Sweep, Ireland’s Weekly Cricket Show - 4
Irish broadcasting legend George Hook came into studio this week to talk at length about his sporting love, cricket. The in-depth chat ranged from his cricketing icons of days gone by, to why he feels that Test Cricket is within touching distance for Ireland.
Our fourth visit to 'Club Corner' brings us to Co. Donegal and the first All-Ireland winners from the North West, St. Johnston Cricket Club. Former captain and current North-West Chairman, Andrew Fleming discussed the regeneration of the club since that famous day in 1987. We check in with our correspondents, Barry Chambers, David Holmes and Ger Siggins, to provide their usual 'Around The Grounds' updates, and we see who was right and wrong in last week's predictions. And as always, we have plenty of Performances of the Week, a century-filled O'Neill's Team of the Week, #AlmostCricketLegend tales and much, much more.
Hosted by Mark Robinson and Andrew Leonard with special thanks to Johnston, Mooney & O'Brien
