Previews of Division 1 and 2 can get down to the nitty gritty. Who has joined? Who has left? Purely and simply, what players does the club have? There's little doubt that this year there is more interest in Division 2 than there has been for a while. Clontarf's first appearance in the second tier since 2003 has been the main ingredient behind the interest, but shrewd signings by Balbriggan and Terenure, along with a refresh looking Malahide, mean that their is an element of wonder in Divison 2 at last.
Hopefully none of the clubs in Division 6 will take offence, but whereas some divisions have looked like having all the teams capable of topping the table, Division 6 is the opposite. Let me explain.
It looks like being a real dog-fight in Division 10. Normally in these previews, there is an attempt to be positive about most teams. In this instance, I really can't see any team being weaker (or stringer than the rest). That won't stop a complete stab in the dark at the end!
Preview of RSA Division 13. Both Railway Union and Knockharley are looking much stronger for 2013, and the teams from these clubs in all divisions could be worth watching, especially the two in this division. As always, it is only an educated guess at this stage!
