D5: Phoenix III are winners and Merrion IV [unofficially] would appear to be second. Match reports suggest that Malahide IIIs [3rd] have a rained off match to be officially recorded. If this is confirmed then they cannot overtake Merrion even if they get full points in their remaining two matches. Terenure II are relegated. Mullingar have matches in hand but have a way to go to catch up on Leinster III or Railway III.
Sat: Merrion play Phoenix but we think it is a dead rubber – which is just as well as the ISC Final is on the same day. Mullingar play Leinster and this has to be the start of their late run if they are to survive. A win against Leinster and they have Railway in their sights on the 19th.
D6: Battle between Clontarf III and Knockharley for the title [both should get promoted although there are still matches to play and North County III [who have a win yet to be confirmed] have an outside chance of promotion if either of the top two teams falter. Railway U IV are relegated and also [unofficially] Sandyford when their outstanding loss against NC is confirmed.
Weekend: Double weekend for Clontarf and they can clinch the title with two wins. The Sunday game is key when they take on second place Knockharley.
D7: Title and promotion not yet decided. Leaders Merrion V have a 10 percentage point lead to defend with three games to go. But they have to play both Dundrum II [2nd] and N Kildare II [3rd] in the run in. Clontarf IV are relegated and the other spot is between Laois II and Wexford W.
Sun: Merrion take on N Kildare in The Maws and Dundrum travel to Laois II. Still plenty to play for but a win for Merrion would guarantee them one of the promotion places.
D8: Title still open but Bagenalstown now the strong favourites with Leinster IV, who lost last weekend, battling it out with YMCA IV for 2nd spot. Civil Service are trailing at the bottom of the table and Wicklow’s win last week [against Leinster] has put them above DU [who are now seventh].
Weekend: Wicklow have a tricky fixture against Bagenalstown and a loss would drop them back into the relegation zone, with all matches completed. A win for Bagenalstown secures them the title whatver happens in the fixture between second placed Leinster IV. Leinster’s match with Civil Service should settle the second spot [if Bagnelstown win] and the first relegation place.
D9 North County IV beat leaders Adamstown II last weekend and close the gap at the top. With two games to go each N County pretty much have to win both and Adamstown to lose one for the positions at the top to be reversed. Mullingar II and Sandyford II both lost last weekend so their positions at the bottom of the table have not gotten any better. There are still enough matches to play to get out of the relegation zone for either team.
Weekend Three matches scheduled. Mullingar have chance to get out of the relegation zone if they can win against Greystones II and Phoenix IV lose to Malahide IV. Mullingar then have two more matches to play. But the big game is Sunday’s clash between North County IV [2nd] and The Hills III [3rd]. The Hills need to win to have a chance at the second promotion spot and N County need every point to close gap on Adamstown II
D10 Swords less than a percentage point ahead of Dundalk at the top. Railway Union V are still in the frame and have matches in hand. Ringcommons lose again last weekend and need divine interventio to survive. Longford II won last weekend but are still a way behind Terenure III and have only one game left to get out of trouble.
Weekend: Three games at the weekend with both teams in contention for the title in action. Dundlak at home to Longford and Swords also at home to Railway U. A win for Railway would open up the promotion race. Ringcommons take on Leinster V in what could be their last chance to stay up.
