Over the next few days we will finish our mid-season review of the OC Leagues using scorecards received and tables updated to 21st July. There are still a number of scorecards missing and these obviously cannot be taken into account either for tables or averages.
Division 7 is a closely contested league with the four top teams, Laois II, Clontarf IV, Merrion V and Adamstown, within four percentage points of each other. At this point any one of the four could win the league. At the other end of the table Balbriggan II are struggling and have yet to record a win this season. Wexford also look to be in a bit of bother and the second relegation spot may well depend on how DU [who have only played four matches] finish out their season.
In terms of individual performances, seven players figure in the batting averages [Min 150 runs] including two Clontarf [U15] youth players Sean Currie and Andrew Vincent. Currie has the highest individual score [128*] and overall there have been five centuries scored, a second by Currie, Adrian Harper [123] from Balbriggan, Jinto Mathew [100*] from Dundrum and Ajay Varma [100*] from Merrion. Usama Raees [Laois] is way out in front in terms of aggregate runs scored.
