Today sees the launch of the third year of Cricket Leinster’s direct player registration system. For 2016 there will is only one change from previous years, with full details of the process available here
The one change is that ALL players born BEFORE January 1st 1998 who wish to play in the Open Competitions, must upload a photo to their profile. The Open Competitions Committee trialled this in 2015, and is bringing it in for all players in order to combat instances of personation.
As in 2015, players who were born on or after January 1st 1998, cannot register directly, and must be registered by their club’s Cricket Leinster administrator. If you do not know who to contact in your club, please contact admin@cricketleinster.ie
Clubs will have to collect the relevant information (including parental permissions) from all youth players who are registering.
A few clubs also regioister their players directly, and you may want to check with your club to see if they are registering players in this way.
The payment structure for 2016 remains same. All adults (born before January 1st 1998) will pay a €15 registration fee. All those who register as youths (born on or after January 1st 1998) continue to be free.
