Weather permitting - and it looks pretty good for later today after some over night rain - what is worth visiting on the club circuit today. At the top of the tree, so to speak, there are the remaining two IBI Corporate Finance Quarter Finals where The Hills take on YMCA in the Vineyard and Pembroke face close neighbours Railway Union in Sydney Parade. Current form and venue would seem to suggest that the home team are favourites in both cases. Railway haven’t had any good fortune this year, despite a number of competitive performances. Perhaps today is the day that they can get across the winning line. YMCA also know that they have a tough assignment v The Hills but with Simi Sigh and Jack Tector in very good form lately they have the batting to win any game.
For those who want to look further afield there are the Quarter Finals of the Senior II Cup. The match of the day is probably between Merrion II and Clontarf II at Anglesea Road. In the other two games [Pembroke II v Leinster II is postponed due to venue clash] Malahide II take on North County II and Knockharley welcome Civil Service.
Today also sees two remaining Minor Cup fixtures [AIB and Adamstown IV went through with comprehensive wins yesterday. There are also the eight matches in the first round of the Minor II Cup.
With a fair sprinkling of league and youth games there is plenty to follow around Leinster. As usual there will be reporting on the Match Centre - so please keep sending gin the updates.
