The OCC has considered the matter of the three outstanding Division 1 refixtures - Cork County v Clontarf; Railway Union v YMCA; Cork County v Malahide.
The results at the weekend have determined the winners of the league. Also Cork County have advised that although they have a mathematical possibility of avoiding a relegation position, they are happy to consider the Malahide fixture a no result rather than trying to find a way to play a refix.
This means that none of these refixtures can have any significant effect on league positions. The current state of grounds and the weather forecast for the coming days makes it highly unlikely that matches could be played within a reasonable period.
Accordingly OCC has decided that these games should not be refixed and be recorded as "no results" with points awarded accordingly. We acknowledge that this will "freeze" individual player performances at the current state whereas if the matches were played the destinies of some individual trophies could change. In the circumstances however, we feel this is the only practical decision to make.
