About the LCU Data Centre
The Data Centre is designed to provide general access to the vast store of competition, club, teams and individual records available on the playing of cricket in Leinster, and can be accessed by clicking on the "Players Statistics" tab at the top of the page. Thanks to the life-long work of the late Derek Scott, Cricket Leinster has statistics on every player and match played in the Leinster Senior League and Cup going back to 1919. In more recent times we have scorecards for individual matches going back a number of decades. There are also league tables and cup details for the various other league and cup competitions going back to their foundation in the early years of the last century. Although with more gaps to be filled, there is information on youth, schools and womens cricket and on representative fixtures. These last will be included in future releases.
The Data Centre is a work in progress and over time more data series will be added to it. For its launch we have included two items.
The first is the record of winners [and many runner-up] of Leinster Club competitions going back to 1919. We are gradually uploading scorecards and match reports for cup finals where these are available.
Secondly, there are players’ records from 2011. Since 2011 a complete record has been kept of all league, cup and T20 matches played under the Open Competitions. This includes the performances of individual players. Anyone can go in and run one of a series of reports filtered by year, match format, competition and team.
