Rules of the Leinster Cricket Union, Edition: 2012
1 Title and Membership
- 1.1 The title of the Union shall be “The Leinster Cricket Union”. It may also be known as ‘Cricket Leinster’.
- 1.2 The objective of the Union shall be to promote, foster and organise the playing of cricket in Leinster.
- 1.3 The Union shall consist of sports clubs in Leinster engaged in the playing of cricket and accepted for affiliation at a General Meeting of the Union.
- 1.4 The Executive Committee of the Union may admit any sports club in Leinster to become an affiliated Club. The Executive Committee may admit a team to any of its competitions, on such terms as it may prescribe, without such team being an affiliated club of the Union.
- 1.5 The Union shall be affiliated to Cricket Ireland, which is the governing body of the game in Ireland.
2 The Structure of the Union
The structure of the Union shall consist of:
- [i] An Assembly or General Meeting, consisting of delegates of all the affiliated clubs, which shall normally meet twice in each calendar year,
- [ii] An Executive Committee, which shall manage the business of the Union subject to review by the Assembly,
- [iii] A Women’s Section, which shall administer all women’s cricket played under the auspices of the Union and shall report to the Executive Committee,
- [iv] A Youth and Schools Section, which shall administer all youth cricket played under the auspices of the Union and shall report to the Executive Committee,
- [v] An Open Competitions Committee [OCC], which shall, subject to paragraphs (iii) and (iv) above, administer all cricket played under the auspices of the Union and shall report to the Executive Committee.
- [vi] A Finance Committee, which shall advise on the finances of the Union and shall report to the Executive Committee.
- [vii] A Development Committee, which shall advise on the development of cricket in Leinster and shall report to the Executive Committee.
- [viii] A Grounds Committee which shall monitor the quality of grounds being used by teams and clubs participating in competitions under the auspices of the Union
- [viii] A Disciplinary Committee, which shall, subject to the appellate jurisdiction of the Appeal Board, administer discipline in all mattes relating to cricket in Leinster.
- [ix] An Appeal Board, which shall hear and determine finally all appeals from decisions of the Disciplinary Committee.
- [x] An Umpires and Scorers Association, which shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the umpiring and scoring of cricket in Leinster,
- [xi] A Coaches Association, which shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the coaching of cricket in Leinster,
- [xii] A Grounds Association shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the development, care and management of cricket grounds and wickets in Leinster.
3 Assemblies or General Meetings
- 3.1 The Union shall hold two General Meetings in each calendar year, a Spring Meeting held between the 1st February and the 28th February and an Autumn Meeting held between the 22nd October and the 30th November. The Honorary Secretary shall serve at least 14 days notice of the holding of General Meetings, together with Notices of Motion, on all persons, clubs, sections, committees and associations of the Union set out in Rule 2 entitled to attend at General Meetings.
- 3.2 A Special General Meeting of the Union may be called for at any time by the Executive Committee, by a section of the Union or at the request of five or more clubs. On receiving a call or request for a Special General Meeting the Honorary Secretary shall arrange for such meeting to be held within 21 days of the receipt of the call or request. Only the business for which the Special General Meeting has been called shall be transacted at such a meeting.
- 3.3 Motions at General Meetings must be proposed by an Officer of the Union or by a person, club, section or association entitled to attend and vote at General Meetings. Notices of Motion to be considered at General Meetings, other than for Special General Meetings, must be forwarded in writing to the Honorary Secretary by persons, clubs, sections, committees and associations entitled to attend and vote at General Meetings not later than the 1st January for the Spring Meeting and the 1st October for the Autumn Meeting.
4 Attendance at a General Meeting of the Union
- 4.1 A General Meeting of the Union may be attended by any member of a club that is a member of the Union or by any person elected or appointed to a position within the Union in accordance with these Rules.
- 4.2 The following shall be entitled to vote at a General Meeting:
- (a) The Officers of the Union.
- (b) One representative from each club affiliated to the Union
- (c) Past Presidents of the Union
- (d) One representative from each of the Sections and Associations set out in Rule 2
5 Voting at General Meeting
- 5.1 All matters, including elections, to be decided by the Union at a General Meeting shall be determined by a majority of the votes of those attending and voting in accordance with Rule 5.2 or, in the case of elections for multiple posts, the persons who receive the highest number of votes.
- 5.2 The representative of each club attending a General Meeting shall have a multiple of votes equal to the number of adult teams registered in league or cup cricket for the preceding cricket season.
- 5.3 Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.1, a two thirds majority of the votes of those attending and voting in accordance with Rule 5.2 shall be required to make changes to the Rules of the Union.
- 5.4 The quorum for a General Meeting shall be fifteen persons entitled to attend and vote.
6 Elections at the Autumn General Meeting of the Union
- 6.1 The following shall be elected at this meeting:
- [a] In each second year the President of the Union, to serve a two year term,
- [b] an Honorary Secretary,
- [c] an Honorary Treasurer,
- [d] in every second year a President Elect,
- [e] four Ordinary members to serve on the Executive Committee
- [f] Vice Presidents of the Union who shall continue as Vice Presidents until such time as they express a desire to retire or until such time as the Union shall vote to end their period as vice President,
- [g] a Chairperson and Secretary of the Open Competitions Committee
- [h] the auditors of the Union,
- [i] In each second year two members of the Development Committee, to serve a two year term
- [j] In each second year four members of the Finance Committee, to serve a two year term,
- [k] six members of the Open Competitions Committee
- [l] seven members of the Disciplinary Committee
- The persons listed at (a) to (d) above together with the immediate Past President, where there is no President-Elect shall be the Officers of the Union.
- 6.2 Any affiliated club of the Union or any section, committee or association of the Union entitled to attend and vote at a General Meeting may nominate a person to any of the elected positions, such nominations to be in writing and to arrive no later than seven days before the General Meeting.
- 6.3 In the event that not sufficient nominations are received the Executive Committee may appoint persons to serve in the relevant posts.

Spring General Meeting
- 6.4 The business of the Spring General meeting shall include
- 6.4.1 The presentation and approval of the financial statements for the previous financial year
- 6.4.2 Notices of Motion
- 6.4.3 Any Other Business
7 Executive Committee
- 7.1 The Executive Committee shall be responsible for all matters appertaining to the management of the business of the Union, and the powers and duties of the committee shall include, inter alia,
- [a] the receipt and adjudication on the reports of committees and sections,
- (b) making of Regulations for and the conduct of League and Cup competitions.
- (c) the appointment or nomination of persons to:
- [i] act as selectors for adult representative teams, including nominations for selectors for Cricket Ireland,
- [ii] serve in a range of posts associated with the promotion of Leinster Cricket, including the appointment of a Public Relations Officer, Statistician, Website Manager, and Children’s Officer and Designated Person responsible for the application of the Code of Ethics for Children’s Sport,
- [iii] serve in a range of posts relating to the development of cricket in Leinster including Development Officers of the Union and a Director of Coaching,
- [iv] the Appeal Board
- [v] act as Representatives to Cricket Ireland
- (d) the interpretation of the Rules of the Union.
- (e) the power to employ, suspend and dismiss servants or employees.
- (f) the power to deal with and adjudicate on all matters in connection with the affairs of the Union which may arise between the General Meetings of the Union.
- (g) the power to fix such contributions by clubs to the funds of the Union whether by way of affiliation fees or otherwise
- (h) to admit clubs to competitions
- (i) to adjudicate on appeals brought under Rule 7.4
- (j) to adopt or amend Disciplinary Regulations as referred to at Rules 9.4 and 9.5.
- (k) to approve rules and regulations of the Sections Committees and Associations
- (l) subject to Rules 9.4 and 9.5, the power to impose such sanctions for breach by any section, club or club member for a breach of or a failure to comply with any Rule or Regulation of the Union or failure to make any financial contribution to the Union. Such sanctions may include suspension of a club, a removal of a club from a competition or a financial penalty.
- 7.2 The Executive Committee shall consist of:
- [i] The President
- [ii] The Honorary Secretary
- [iii] The Honorary Treasurer
- [iv] The President Elect or the Past President of the previous year
- [v] Four ordinary members elected at a General Meeting
- [vi] A representative of the Womens Section
- [vii] A representative of the Youth and Schools Section
- [viii] The Chairman or a representative of the Open Competitions Committee.
- 7.3 The quorum for a meeting of the Executive Committee shall be six. Meetings shall be chaired by the President or in the absence of the President by the President Elect or Immediate Past President as appropriate. In the absence of any of the above the members present shall elect a chairman. The Executive Committee shall meet at least monthly from April to September and at least three other times during the remainder of the year. Seven days notice of meetings to those entitled to attend should be given in writing by the Honorary Secretary of the Union
- 7.4 An appeal may be brought to the Executive Committee from any decision of the Open Competitions Committee, the Women Section or Youth and Schools Section, but no appeal may be brought to the Executive Committee in respect of any matter that is covered by the Disciplinary Committee of the Union. Such appeal shall be in writing and shall be notified to the Honorary Secretary of the Union within 7 days of the communication of the decision to the person or club involved.
- 7.5 An appeal may be brought from any decision of the Executive Committee to Just Sport Ireland for determination by arbitration or mediation. Any such appeal shall be brought under the rules of Just Sport Ireland.
8 Committees, Sections and Associations
- 8.1 Committees and sections shall have power to co-opt members to fill vacancies which may occur during the year and to appoint Sub-Committees.
- 8.2 Committees and sections shall, subject to the specific provisions of these Rules, determine their own procedures and rules for holding meetings, recording minutes and carrying out their responsibilities.
- 8.3 The quorum for any meeting of a section or committee shall, subject to the specific provisions of these Rules, be at least 50% of these entitled to attend and vote at the meeting.
9 Committees
- 9.1 Open Competitions Committee [OCC]
- 9.1.1 The Committee shall manage the operation of all adult open competitions and shall administer the regulations for those competitions including regulations dealing with the eligibility and registration of players. A sub-committee of three members of the Committee shall deal with urgent matters. The quorum for the sub- committee shall be three
- 9.1.2 The membership of the OCC shall consist of:
- [i] Chairperson Committee
- [ii] Secretary Committee
- [iii] Six members
- [iv] A representative of the Umpires and Scorers Association
- [v] A representative of the Grounds Committee.
- 9.1.3 The Committee shall meet at least monthly from April to September and at least three other times during the remainder of the year. Seven days notice of meetings to those entitled to attend should be given in writing by the Secretary of the Committee.
- 9.2 Finance Committee
- 9.2.1 The Finance Committee shall advise on the financial affairs of the Union, including the raising of sponsorship, the seeking of grants, contributions and other sources of income for the Union and the co-ordination of major financial projects undertaken by the Union. The Committee will also oversee the expenditure of the Union and make recommendations in relation to membership fees for clubs.
- 9.2.2 The membership of the Finance Committee shall consist of:
- [i] President or Immediate Past President / President Elect
- [ii] Honorary Secretary
- [iii] Honorary Treasurer
- [iv] Four members elected at the Autumn General Meeting
- 9.2.3 The Finance Committee shall appoint its own chairman who shall be one of the four members elected at [iv] above.
- 9.2.4 The Finance Committee shall meet at least every two months. Seven days notice of meetings to those entitled to attend should be given in writing by the Honorary Secretary.
- 9.3 Development Committee
- 9.3.1 The Development Committee shall be responsible for the promotion of the development of cricket in Leinster with a particular emphasis on widening the geographical reach of the game, encouraging the sport among young men and women players, and improving the image and popularity of the game among the wider public.
- 9.3.2 The Development Committee shall meet at least bi-monthly. Seven days notice of meetings to those entitled to attend should be given in writing by the Honorary Secretary.
- 9.3.3 The membership of the Development Committee shall consist of:
- [i] President
- [ii] Immediate Past President / President Elect who shall chair the committee.
- [iii] Honorary Secretary
- [iv] Honorary Treasurer
- [v] Two elected members
- [vi] Director of Coaching or a Representative of the Coaching Association.
- [vii] Representative of Grounds Association
- [viii] a representative of the Youth and Schools Section
- [ix] a Representative of the Women’s Section
- [x] Public Relations Officer and/or Website Manager
- [xi] a Representative of the Umpires and Scorers Association
- An LCU Development Officer shall also attend meetings.
- 9.4 Grounds Committee
- 9.4.1. The Grounds Committee shall be responsible for monitoring the quality of grounds in the province on which games under the auspices of the Union are to be played
- 9.4.2. The Grounds Committee shall report to the Open Competitions Committee any grounds which are unsuitable for playing such games and to recommend such improvements as may be necessary to bring such grounds up to an acceptable condition
- 9.4.3 The Grounds Committee shall recommend sanctions which should be applied to the clubs operating such grounds which have failed to bring such grounds up to an acceptable level
- 9.4.5 The Grounds Committee shall liaise with the Grounds Association in bringing about improvements to grounds in the province
- 9. 4.6 The membership of the Grounds Committee shall consist of five members, three to be elected at the Autumn General Meeting, one to be nominated by the Grounds Association, and one by the Open Competitions Committee
- 9.4.7 The Committee shall elect a Chairman from among its membership at its first meeting
- 9.5 Disciplinary Committee
- 9.5.1 The Disciplinary Committee shall consist of seven members to be elected at the Autumn General Meeting in each year and shall hold office until the next Autumn General Meeting. No Officer of the Union nor any member of the Executive Committee may be a member of the Disciplinary Committee. Three members of the Committee shall form a quorum and those attending each meeting of the Committee shall elect their own Chairman. No member of the Committee shall attend any Committee Meeting (other than for the purpose of giving evidence) at which the matter to be considered involves a Club (or a member of a Club) of which he is himself a member. The Honorary Secretary of the Union or a nominated deputy shall attend for the purpose of keeping a record of the proceedings and to provide a list of the previous sanctions imposed by the Committee or the Appeal Board
- 9.5.2 It shall be an offence for any affiliated Club, Committee, sub-Committee or Association (whether by any one or more of it’s officers or members) and for any member of such a Club, Committee and/or Association, or for a visitor to or guest of a club, to so conduct itself or him/herself at any time during a match, in a manner which is in breach of the Union’s Code of Conduct or at any other time in such a manner which does, or may reasonably be considered likely, to bring the Union, the Club or his/her Club, any other Cricket Club or Clubs, Section and/or Association, and/or member or members thereof, or the game of cricket, into disrepute.
- 9.5.3 A match means any game played under the auspices of the Union. A match shall be deemed, for the purposes of this Rule, to commence two hours before the scheduled start of play and to end at 10.00 p.m. the day the match is completed.
- 9.5.4 The Disciplinary Committee shall act in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations
- 9.6 Appeal Board
- 9.6.1 The Appeal Board will deal with any appeals of decisions of the Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations. The Appeal Board will be made up of six members who will be appointed by the Executive. No member of the Appeal Board shall be an Officer or member of the Executive Committee of the Union Meetings will be held as required, with a quorum of three, one of whom will chair the meeting.
- 9.6.2 The Appeal Board shall act in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations
- 9.6.3 The Union shall be entitled to publish the results of any hearings before the Disciplinary Committee or the Appeal Board including the sanctions which have been imposed together with the names of the persons on whom the sanctions have been imposed in any print or electronic media and on the Union’s Website
10 Associations
- 10.1 Umpires and Scorers Association [Leinster]
- 10.1.1 The Umpires and Scorers Association shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the umpiring and scoring of cricket matches, played under the auspices of the Union be responsible for the appointment of umpires and generally for monitoring and improving the quality of umpiring and scoring in Leinster. The Association will conduct training courses in umpiring and scoring. The Association shall adopt its own Constitution.
- 10.1.2 The Association shall nominate one delegate to each of the following:
- [i] the Development Committee
- [ii] the Open Competitions Committee
- 10.2 Coaches Association [Leinster]
- 10.2.1 The Coaches Association shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the coaching of cricket in Leinster. The Association shall adopt its own Constitution. The Association will specifically:
- (i) provide coaching for Representative Squads
- (ii) conduct coaching courses for the qualification of coaches at various levels
- (iii) provide reports to the relevant committees on the state of coaching at representative, club and school levels.
- 10.2.2 The Association shall nominate one delegate to each of the following:
- [i] the Youth and Schools Section
- [ii] the Womens Section
- [iii] the Development Committee
- 10.2.3 The Executive Committee will appoint a Director of Coaching [on the recommendation of the Coaches Association] who will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of coaching in Leinster.
- 10.2.1 The Coaches Association shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the coaching of cricket in Leinster. The Association shall adopt its own Constitution. The Association will specifically:
- 10.3 Grounds Association [Leinster]
- 10.3.1 The Grounds Association (The Groundsmen and Curators Association) shall advise the Union on all matters relating to the care and management of cricket grounds and wickets. The Association will also arrange to provide training for grounds personnel. The Association shall adopt its own Constitution.
- 10.3.2 The Association shall nominate one delegate to each of the following:
- [i] the Development Committee
- [ii] the Youth and Schools Competition Committee
11 Sections
- 11.1 Youth and Schools Section
- 11.1.1 The Youth and Schools Section shall be responsible for the running of all youth and schools cricket competitions played under the auspices of the Union. The Section shall adopt and operate its own rules and shall have the power to set up sub-committees and to approve the playing regulations for youth and schools competitions. . The Section shall be made up of affiliated clubs and schools. An affiliated club or school is one that in the previous year had a team participating in any competition run under the auspices of the Section.
- 11.1.2 An Annual General Meeting of the Section to consider matters affecting Youth and Schools Cricket shall be held prior to the Autumn Meeting of the Union. The business of the Annual Meeting of the Youth and Schools Section shall include
- [i] the consideration of the reports from sub-committees of the Section,
- [ii] In every second year the election of a Chairman for a two year period and an Honorary Secretary of the Section,
- [iii] the election of persons to act on sub-committees of the Section and as representatives on other committees, sections and associations of the Union as required.
- 11.1.3 A Special General Meeting of the Section may be called for at any time by the Executive Committee of the Section or at the request of ten or more affiliated clubs or schools. Only the business for which the Special General Meeting has been called shall be transacted at such a meeting.
- 11.1.4 The Secretary of the Section shall serve at least 14 days notice of the holding of General Meetings on all persons, clubs, schools, committees and associations entitled to attend and vote at General Meetings.
- 11.1.5 A General Meeting of the Section may be attended by:
- [i] the Officers of the Union and the Section
- [ii] a representative of any school or club affiliated to the Section,
- [iii] by a representative of any affiliated club
- [iv] by any person elected or appointed to a position within the Section in accordance with these Rules,
- [v] a representative of any association of the Union.
- 11.1.6 The following shall be entitled to vote at a General meeting of the Section:
- [i] a representative of each affiliated school or club,
- [ii] the Chairman and Honorary Secretary of the Section.
- 11.1.7 All matters, including elections, to be decided by the Section at a General Meeting shall be determined by a majority of the votes of those attending and voting in accordance with Rule 11.1.6 or, in the case of elections for multiple posts, the persons who receive the highest number of votes.
- 11.1.8 The quorum for a General Meeting shall be eight persons who are entitled to attend and vote at the General Meeting.
- 11.2 Women’s Section
- 11.2.1 The Women’s Section shall be responsible for the running of women’s competitions played under the auspices of the Union. This Section shall operate in accordance with its own rules and shall have the power to set up sub-committees and to approve the playing regulations for women’s competitions. The Section shall be made up of affiliated clubs. An affiliated club is one that in the previous year had a team participating in any competition run by the Women’s Section or a girls team participating in a competition run by the Youth and Schools Section.
- 11.2.2 General Meetings
- The Women’s Section shall hold two General Meetings in each calendar year, a Spring Meeting held within a month prior to the Union Spring meeting and an Autumn Meeting held within a month prior to the Union Autumn meeting of the union. The Secretary of the Section shall serve at least 14 days notice of the holding of General Meetings on all persons, clubs, committees and associations entitled to attend General Meetings.
- A Special General Meeting of the Section may be called for at any time by the Executive Committee or at the request of five or more clubs. Only the business for which the Special General Meeting has been called shall be transacted at such a meeting.
- A General Meeting of the Section may be attended only by:
- (i) The Officers of the Union
- (ii) The Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Match Secretary of the Section
- [iii] A representative from each affiliated club of the Union
- [iv] A representative of any association of the Union
- [v] A Development Officer of the Union
- [vi] A Representative of the Schools and Youth Section
- [vii] The Honorary Match Secretary of the Section
- 11.2.3 The Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Match Secretary of the Section and the representatives of the affiliated clubs shall have one vote on each matter which shall be decided by majority of the votes cast or, in the case of elections for multiple posts, the persons who receive the highest number of votes
- 11.2.4 The following shall be elected at this meeting:
- [a] In every second year the Chairman of the Section, to serve a two year term,
- [b] an Honorary Secretary of the Section,
- [c] an Honorary Match Secretary of the Section
- [d] one member to serve on the Executive Committee
- [e] one member to serve on the Development Committee
- [f] three members to serve on the Women’s Competitions Committee
- 11.2.5 Any affiliated club may nominate a person to any of the elective positions, such nominations to be received by the Honorary Secretary of the Section no later than seven days before the General Meeting. In the event that not enough nominations are received to fill all the elected posts the Executive Committee may co-opt persons to serve in the relevant posts.
- 11.2.6 The quorum for a General Meeting shall be six.
- 11.2.7 The Women’s Competitions Committee shall be responsible for the day to day management of women’s cricket in Leinster. The Committee shall consist of the Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Match Secretary of the Section and the three members elected at the Autumn General Meeting
12 General Matters
- 12.1 The Chairman of all committees and sections shall have, in addition to his own vote, a casting vote at all meetings. A Chairman may nominate another person to act as his deputy in any matters affecting the Union.
- 12.2 The Honorary Secretary or the secretary of the appropriate committee, section or shall be responsible for summoning all meetings and dealing with all correspondence. Communications shall be in writing which shall include email.
- 12.3 The Honorary Secretary of the Union shall present an Annual Report to the Autumn General Meeting of the Union. Annual Reports from the various committees, sections and associations shall be sent in writing to the Honorary Secretary to arrive before the 1st October each year and these will be circulated in advance of the General Meeting and be considered thereat.
- 12.4 The Honorary Treasurer of the Union shall be responsible for all financial matters and shall present duly Audited Accounts for each year to the Spring General Meeting. All payments made by the Union must be authorised by two officers of the Union.
- 12.5 These Rules may only be amended by a Notice of Motion which has been passed at a General Meeting of the Union by a two thirds-majority of those present and voting.
- 12.6 The Officers and Members of the Executive Committee and officers and members of any Section Committee shall be indemnified out of the assets of the Union against all actions, claims costs or damages arising out of their activities on behalf of the Union so long as such activities are carried on in good faith
- 12.7 The income and property of the Union shall be applied solely towards the promotion of its main objects as set forth in these Rules. No portion of the Union’s income and property shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to the members of the Union. No Officer shall be appointed to any office of the Union paid by salary or fees or receive any remunerations or other benefit in money or money’s worth from the Union. However nothing shall prevent any payment in good faith by the Union of:
- (a) reasonable and proper remuneration to any member of the Union(not being an Officer) for any services rendered to the Union,
- (b) interest at a rate not exceeding 5% per annum on money lent by any officers or other member of the Union
- (c) reasonable and proper rent for premises demised and let by any member of the Union (including any Officer) to the Union
- (d) reasonable and proper out-of-pocket expenses incurred by any Officer in connection with his/her attendance to any matter affecting the Union
- (e) fees remuneration or other benefit in money or money’s worth in any Company of which an Officer may be a member holding not more than a one hundredth part of the issued capital of such Company
- 12.8 If upon the winding up or dissolution of the Union there remains, after the satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities, any property whatsoever, it shall not be paid or distributed among the members of the union. Instead, such property shall be given or transferred to some other institution or institutions having main objects similar to the main objects of the Union. The institution or institutions to which the property is to be given or transferred shall prohibit the distribution of its or their income or property among its or then members to an extent at as great as is imposed on the Union under and by virtue of Rule 12.7 and this Rule. Members of the Union shall select the institution or institutions at or before the time of dissolution and if and so far as effect cannot be given to such provisions then the property shall be given or transferred to some charitable object.
- 12.9 No addition, alteration or amendment shall be made to or in the provision of these Rules for the time being in force unless the same have previously bee approved in writing by the Revenue Commissioners

13 Anti-doping Policy
The Union subscribes to the anti-doping policy as laid down by the Irish Sports Council and Cricket Ireland and any player or club contravening the provisions of the anti-doping policy shall be liable to disciplinary action in accordance with the provisions of that policy. The Executive may order that any player, member of an affiliated Club, Official or any other person involved in cricket in Leinster may be required to undergo a Dope Test in accordance with the Dope Test Regulations of Cricket Ireland
14 Code of Ethics for Children’s Sport
The Union supports the code of ethics and good practice for children’s sport in Ireland and any player, official or club, contravening this code will be liable to disciplinary action as specified in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice.
15 Reading of Rules
In reading these rules the masculine shall include the feminine and the singular shall include the plural.
